Some people are computer illiterate and don't understand domain registration and hosting too though. My classmates (and at least one teacher) were all "uhhhh... how?" when we discussed websites and domains for our businesses.
I forget regularly that just because I've known all this stuff since I was 14 doesn't mean anyone else understands it all.
