I've been using the same plastic cutlery in the office for weeks and will continue to use each piece until it breaks.

Yeah, we use Solo cups (environmentally friendly ones I guess, they feel like paper) here at the office. Trying to be even better, I tried using the same one day after day. After about three days the poor thing gave up on life and leaked coffee everywhere :(

Hey you know what? If you're ever in a hotel room and you wake up at 3am and you need to pee and you realize your boyfriend is sleeping in the bathroom because you snore too loud, pee in the ice bucket instead of paper cups, because paper cups filled with pee will leak in just a few hours.

I bet.

I do the same. I have a plastic spoon, fork, knife, and spork that I wash and re-use over and over.

Okay. Sometimes, I just wipe them down with a napkin, when I'm done, if I didn't eat anything with chicken, pork, etc.

Where's Al Gore to thank us, huh?

I don't even wipe them. With my last bite, I just get them as clean as possible with my mouth.

Which, I'm sure, is well below a lot of people's threshold for cleanliness.

I won't tell. And, as long as Garrett is okay with it (or, doesn't know...)

;-)

I do this too. I wash them occasionally.

they do get "worn out", though which is kinda weird.

Good job! I was raised in a home where we reused them over and over, so I'm the same way. Of course, my mom also reuses aluminum foil, sandwich bags, etc.

I just keep a plate, bowl and set of silverware at my desk since I seem to be eating here all the time anyway.
