Is anyone else having the same problem as me lately, finding that the quality of the seal on resealable bags and regular baggies has gone way downhill? I swear, it's so hard to keep a bag closed these days. Are they trying to force us to buy the ones with the more elaborate closures?

Wow, at first it was just me thinking they suck because I got used to zip-locks, but you're right. I rarely even use the seal anymore, I'll just wrap the bag really tight or wrap it in Saran Wrap.

You know something? I hadn't noticed, but not that I think about it - yeah. Last time I went shopping, the fancy ones were all they had.

If all else fails just seal it all in the nearest available ranch container. :D

What about the seals on resealable bags of stuff like frozen veggies? Any issues there?

I'm not sure what you mean about resealable bags for frozen veggies.. are you talking about a separate bag that you're putting them in, or some kind of resealable bag that you purchase them in?

I've never purchased frozen veggies or really any frozen goods that I can think of that are packaged as resealable, so no experience there.

I mean resealable ones that you purchase them in. Lots of bagged, frozen stuff (veggies, meatballs, chicken tenders, egg rolls) have bags with seals and lately all the seals suuuuck.

ohh strange, i dont think i have ever used one like that. i always roll the bag up and then put it in one of those freezer gallon-size baggie. i suppose it could be noted that i hardly ever buy bags of frozen stuff though.

Frozen veggies and stuff, yes. I've noticed that after I zip them close, when I test it by pushing on the bag, air is (almost) always escaping.

You are too good to me.

It's been several days since anyone posted anything there and there are over 400 members now. I need to do something with it or make someone else a moderator or something.

First world problem.
