Unfortunately, it's real. I'd go to a clinic today, but it took a big disc of skin off, so I don't think they could stitch it.

Typing is hard, but not impossible. I have to use my right forefinger or left thumb for the spacebar, which is a hard adjustment. On my phone I can use dictation.
