Flat, originally uploaded by christopher575.

I can't wash my hair for a couple days before dying it on Thursday, so I
also didn't put any product in. Blah.

don't get me started on white guys' hair.

I'm sorry though that it's not the way you'd like it to look.
I can definitely relate.

off topic, awesome shirt. threadless?

It's either shirt.woot or TeeFury. I've been able to steer clear of Threadless for the most part.

oh?

No, they just have tons of cool shirts all the time and it'd be too easy to get too many. TeeFury and shirt.woot only have one shirt a day, it's pretty easy to keep it under control.

ah!

that makes sense. I can relate to a glut of choices.
The cell phone market alone has become ridiculous.
It's like being flooded with fight or flight hormones, and being the one antelope that gets its signals crossed and just stands there panicking. XD

Anyway, I should check those out. My closet could use some new life.
I'm boring myself; I can't imagine what my co-workers think.

meh...

that was rude of me, and I apologize.

It's just that there are several guys (and one lesbian) that are always saying stuff like that, and it bugs me because I have so much trouble with my hair b/c of its texture, and doing anything semi-/professional about it gets pricey as well as extremely time consuming (up to 8 hours), and is high maintenance.

So my response to that is always, "I should be so lucky" to just have boring hair.

But that isn't your problem, and I shouldn't have made it one.

We cool?

I understood your comment easily and didn't take any offense. Don't worry so much! If you annoy me I'll say so! ;)

thanks. I worry about how stuff comes across in text-based communication.

Hat time! At least you have a cool t-shirt. :)

I have a hat in my bag in case it gets really bad.

Also in case the dye job is really bad.

Hahhahaa - good planning. I'm wearing a hat now, but that's mostly because that's my strategy during the winter.

It looks fine, especially with the cool shirt to distract people!
You can still use heair stuff, just wash it out with warm water.

If I use hair stuff and then wash it out with warm water, I worry it'll be cleaner than it's supposed to be, which defeats the purpose of not washing it.

hm.

it may be that not washing it is to avoid leaving chemicals in it that will affect the dye. Shampoo and conditioner don't just rinse out. they're not even designed to, lately. there's all these aftereffects like "cuticle repair" and "for dry/permed/colored hair" extra moisturizers and so on. Stylist may just want to not have any of those in it.

I mean, you can still run water through it, right? B/c otherwise....

What kind of dye are you using? Why can't you wash your hair?

My hairdresser is doing it, he asked me not to.

my box o hair dye always says to use the dye on unwashed hair, and I always wait to dye it when it's greasy. I assumed it was partly because the dye can really strip your hair and dry it out so maybe the hair oil might be protective or something. But I could be wrong.

You almost don't even look like yourself with your hair all "meh I'm just gonna lie down here for a bit."
