It definitely came out way more blonde than I was hoping for. It was a lot more silver right when we did it, but we probably should have left it in longer. We actually bleached and dyed it twice, and he also had to throw out another whole batch of dye, so the whole process was long enough that I was just happy to be going home. I'll probably go back on Sunday for another try.

Bleaching is so hard when you have dark hair. I didn't make it all the way through the second round if bleach and ended up with yellow hair the one time I tried.

In the 80's, when I was doing the color thing, I went from fire engine red, wanting to go back to my natural dishwater blonde. The stripping process took so long, that he didn't have time to apply the color, and I was left having to go to school the next day with platinum hair.

You can try using a purple-rinse. The purple takes out the yellow color and makes it more silver.
