I bet the majority of those accidents were on the Ave, where hipsters lollygag in the middle of the street throughout the duration of the entire light to make it impossible for cars to turn left or right. Lord knows *I* want to hit someone whenever I'm driving in that area.

I'm not surprised. At all.

Actually I'm surprised only 8% were the pedestrian's fault, what with every time I'm on 99 just north of the tunnel I ALWAYS see someone running across the street where they have to jump the jersey barrier. I guess those peds just never get hit.

I just did the math. 8% of 479 is just over 38; 38 ped-at-fault accidents in a year seems high, even if you take into account public intoxication/drugs, walking and texting, headphones, and just plain 'what were you thinking'.
