I just woke up and found this item in my RSS reader. It's nice to finally hear more about that case, because it really creeped me out when it happened. I spent way too much time thinking about it, and the outcome bothers me a lot less now that he has been revealed as an alleged plotter, rather than just an innocent victim.

Speaking of pizza, or food in general: all I've eaten today was about half a bagel. Not even quite that much. I spit out the last bite. I'm still not hungry.

OK if he was actually a co conspirator, then he's gotta win the Darwin Award. That's a pretty extreme measure to create a plausible story that he was actually a victim in the whole scheme. Even if you thought it was necessary to go to such measures to prop up your story of innocence, then why not make sure that you have a way to make sure the bomb doesn't go off?
