I can only remember a few details about my dream this morning, and I wish I posted about it. It was pretty elaborate, but I had to get to the office to try to make up some time I missed when I got sick on Wednesday. All I can remember that's worth mentioning is that something in the dream reminded me of the time I got home from school, got ready to leave, and was intercepted by my mom on the way out. She wanted me to drive her to work, and then come get her when she was done later that night. I did that all the time, but didn't think it was required of me. I couldn't that day, because I had plans. She was so mad at me because she wasn't in the mood to drive herself. I just remember thinking it takes no effort to drive, and there's no reason to expect someone to do it for you. Something she said to me in a dream this morning was pretty much the same. It was totally unreasonable, and totally lazy. I should have typed it out, because now I'm stuck with the way it makes me feel, instead of remembering what it actually was.

But it shouldn't surprise me that I should have a dream like that as my birthday closes in. I was supposedly the one that was planned, but my older brother was always the one they were proud of. By the time I came around, they'd already done it all.

I'm 33 now, and really don't think about these things very much any more.

One thing I have heard about dream interpretation is that it is more important to remember how you feel than what actually happens in the dream. I dunno. I hate when dreams totally mess with my emotional state but I guess sometimes things come out in dreams that we need to be dealing with but can't or don't want to while we are awake. At least with me that is the case.
