So many comments to make:

1) I really don't like to buy DVDs any more and would rather just get them from Netflix, but they don't carry it right now, which is stupid.

2) I used to have a copy, but I loaned it to a coworker and never got it back. It was especially annoying because he and I had talked several times about how lame it is when people do that. Oh well.

3) The documentary about Michael Alig is also very good.

4) I finally read the book by James St. James and it was REALLY good. I was amazed.

5) Everyone should also read Freak Show by James St. James.

You should get it somehow but definitely watch the documentary first. A complaint that a lot of people have about the movie is that they think everyone's acting is too much, but they're actually doing a very good job of acting like the real people.

Seth Green steals every scene he's in.. I love it. Even Michael Alig said that he was spot on as James, though I guess Culkin was channeling Richie Rich of Heatherette fame (another NYC Club Kid from that era) in spite of him not having anything to do with that drama at all.

Soundtrack is great too and was one of the first things to use Scissor Sisters before they blew up.
