How you can tell I'm not in charge
Jun. 6th, 2011 11:03 am This is a crappy handwritten sign above another sign. I would never, ever allow this. If more attention needs to be drawn to the sign, it should just be redesigned.
I was quite happy when I ran a computer lab for two years, mainly because I got to enforce my "no handwritten signs" rule. There is no reason in a computer lab with a nice color printer to ever have a handwritten sign, unless it says "Sorry, we are closed, no electricity".
The only place handwritten signs look right is in front of cutesy little stores, and only if the person who did it has amazing handwriting.

Date: 2011-06-06 06:07 pm (UTC)Can you believe when I worked at Qwest Field, there were still signs in the elevators that said "Group Health Meeting, Suite Level", sloppily written by whoever decided to?
I put a quick stop to that, and designed the most easy to use form possible. Everything but the text field was locked down, and all they had to do was click and type. Everything else was branded, and it was then placed in a plexiglass holder.
