There's a guy in Seattle who dresses like Link from Legend of Zelda. Until today, this was the best picture I had of him:

Not great, but I just wanted proof of what I saw. The bus he was waiting for came a split second after I snapped it. Today, I was on the bus coming downtown when he got on. I was planning to get off at 3rd avenue, but when he got off at 5th I had to jump out to get some pictures.

note the Nintendo Power Glove he's wearing on his right hand

I believe the jumble hanging at his waist is plastic Super Mario figures

I've only ever heard about Link from one other person. She works at the QFC at Pike and Broadway and says he's banned for life from QFC for swordfighting there. Part of me wanted to get closer for a better picture today, or maybe even a question, but there's been a lot of sword violence in the media lately, so I decided to play it safe.

I believe he's with the same man in all three pictures, and they're wearing most of the same clothes. The first picture was taken in September of 2004. Anyone know anything or have any photos?

Her name is Rio and she's buried in the sand...

They should have put this on a flatter surface.

I'm generally happy with my camera but I can't get good shots of small stuff. Or at least I don't know how. I should probably spend some time with a camera freak.

Anyway, this is a cool pen that [profile] catywompis gave me.

It's very rare that The Stranger publishes gushing praise, and to have it be in the direction of the Weekly is pretty much unheard of. However, my friend Gavin deserves every bit of it he got in this week's issue.

And they got a really good picture, as well:

I have a big wart on my elbow. If I pick or knock it off it bleeds profusely. So much so, I fear I could actually die of blood loss. The first time this happened I was at Than Brothers with [profile] patosa and [profile] jcii, and I went through tons of napkins and also got blood all over the tablecloth. Very embarrassing. Somehow the subject of warts came up with my sort-of boss tonight, and he said that he'd read that duct tape will actually get rid of warts. A little googling revealed it's actually true, so for the next couple of weeks I'm going to wear a square of duct tape on my elbow.

Of course I could buy Compound W or see a doctor, but I have better things to do with my money (like buying alcohol) and better things to do with my time (like drinking alcohol). The duct tape actually sticks really well, and is very unobtrusive. This should be fun.
