Australians totally understand
Feb. 28th, 2007 01:22 amGot a call from a coworker in Melbourne today about an urgent matter that needed updating. When she sent a pre-alert e-mail to a few people, including me, I replied to it and told her about the whole FDA/Kraft misunderstanding and how awful it was to have to order Vegemite online and have it sent from down under via air mail.
She replied almost instantly, "I'll have some sent to you right away." I said that it was fine, I got my three tubes and they should last a while, and hopefully Kraft would start shipping to the US again before I run out. Then I mentioned that I wished I'd enlisted her help before placing my order.
Again, in a flash, she replied, "If it doesn't work out, or that web site goes out of business, let me know and I'll take care of everything."
I was speechless. But I also understand what a great product it is, and would be quite proud of it if I was in her place.
