Apr. 23rd, 2008 09:20 amAnother thing that was bound to happen sooner or later while I rip my CDs was coming across some that make me really sad. I just have to remind myself that I'm sad about a time that wasn't as great as I always made it out to be, and move on. And realize that I'm having the time of my life in the process.

Monday: a good night to go out
Apr. 23rd, 2008 10:10 amEach Monday at Purr, you can get a burger with fries and any beer for $6. The burger is usually $8.95, and the beers go as high as $5.50, so you can save $8.45 before tax and tip. Additional draft beers can be obtained for $2, according to the specials page.
The Northwest Film Forum (one block away) does half price screenings on Mondays as well, which I believe saves another $4.25.
Of course, the best way to save money is to stay home, but the second best option is to follow the specials when you do go out.
(I'm mostly posting this for my own benefit. I always remember the Purr special when I'm about halfway through dinner on Monday.)
