I spent last weekend in Bellingham and took that guiche piercing out right before because it still hurt a lot and I didn't feel like driving an hour and some change with it. I also planned on some sauna and steam time up there and didn't want anything getting in the way of that. So I took it out. Maybe I'll try again at some point, but definitely with the barbell for minimal movement.

The sauna and steam time was not meant to be. The YMCA up there closed their magnificent locker rooms which include the sauna and steam, at least on the men's side. And now everyone has to use what used to be the kids' locker rooms. Pretty sad. Of twelve shower heads, four were broken. There's only one toilet, urinal, and sink. And the locker area is carpeted. Gross. I still did my exercises each morning. And when I left Bellingham, I drove straight to the Korean spa for a scrub and massage. The guy who used to do them has moved back home and has been replaced by two guys. The one I ended up with did the best job of the three I've ever had that service with, though. A great end to that weekend. Not much else to report about Bellingham other than to tell you to get pizza from Ovn if you ever go. Absolutely incredible. And their mall is busier than ours.

I stopped by the piercing shop after the spa hoping Ben would have some of the jewelry I'm waiting for. He didn't, but I decided to get a head start on one of the projects we're doing.

Ear update

We did that top piercing, which will eventually be connected to the one below it with a ring like the one on the right. You can't tell in the photo, but that one needs a smaller diameter ring, too. It'll be two matching rings, parallel, but offset. And here's a picture of my other ear.

Ear update

Nothing new there, but it's not swollen any more. Both of these pictures are flipped because I almost always share flipped photos. A recent exception was my Laserbeak tattoo because I wanted to show it compared to the photo its based on.

Construction continues on the bathroom downstairs. Thankfully the faucet I want finally shipped, and the floor tile finally came. Our contractor offered to also do the floor of the kitchenette next to the bathroom and we added that to the scope. It needed it really bad, and it would be a shame for the nice new bathroom floor to butt up against the worst flooring in the house.
