Dance like no one is hearing
Dec. 15th, 2023 06:03 amBeing sick means resting, which if I'll be honest, is very depressing. It's been an extremely rough week. But the productive coughs started the day before yesterday and I feel like this will wrap up soon. Unfortunately Garrett woke up sick this morning which means we'll continue to avoid each other. Another thing that's very depressing.
One highlight was finding a new favorite song.
Thank goodness for Pandora. I keep finding songs from years ago that I never heard before but will listen to a lot from now on. Here's another recent example.
I'm so glad I work at home and nobody's around to be mad when I play one of these songs ten or more times in a row while I work, like this morning with that first video. I just went upstairs to make breakfast. It takes almost five minutes to make toast in our toaster oven and I'm not going to just stand there. Luckily that song was so fresh in my mind that I could dance to it from memory in complete silence.
I bought both these songs on Bandcamp yesterday and finally created a "bangerz" playlist on my phone. Generally I listen to my full library on shuffle when I'm walking, but it's finally time to access the best of the best when I need them. It's been well over 20 years since the last time I used a playlist. I really wish I could find a copy of my WinAmp playlist, "plah.m3u." There might be a copy on an external hard drive, but the last time I plugged it in nothing happened, and now I'm not even sure where it is. And so it goes.
