Hydro-Tone also makes fins to wear around your ankles in the pool for leg resistance to go along with the arm resistance the Hydro-Bells provide. I stopped short of buying those, though, because I never really think, gee, I wish it was harder to move my legs in the water. And now I'm walking both weekend days, and will warm up with a walk on the track Tuesdays and Thursday before I teach in Marysville. The legs are fine.

But of course I looked at all the empty space in my Hydro-Bell bag and realized it's probably time I had my own set of dumbbells. This one caught my eye because of the hand strap.

The Hydro-Bells wear my hands out like regular dumbbells never have before. It's always a good practice to loosen your grip when you can, and having a hand strap will give me the most opportunities possible to do that. I might even bring them with me when I teach, which would make it easier to use my hand to do other things without having to put the dumbbell down.

But let's be honest. It's kinda just cool to have your own stuff. The padding on the handles on 95% of the dumbbells at every location is gone and sometimes you'll even find bite marks from where kids have bitten them. Mine will always look fantastic.
