Jul. 29th, 2024 10:41 amA friend of ours turns 50 in just under two months, so Garrett asked her what she'd like to do. Part of it is get pierced, so we decided we'd go as a group and all do it! Garrett and I stopped by the shop Saturday to consult about what we want to get done and ensure the proper jewelry will be available. My request is very specific so there was no getting around a special order for me.
Garrett asked if he could get a labret piercing (below the lower lip) without shaving or trimming back that part of his beard. Ben the piercer said yes, so Garrett said he'd like one! That got me wanting to be spontaneous and I hoped the tattoo artist there I've talked to could work on me, but she was busy for the day.
We got lunch to go a few doors down at Budapest Bistro and headed home. I asked Garrett if he figured he'd snooze for a while and he said yes, so I ran to my regular tattoo shop to try to get a walk-in one from my list. Keith's client for the day unfortunately didn't show up or even call, so he was able to fit me in. And my concept was able to make use of one of his existing sketches! I'll share it when it's healed.
My tattoo this Friday will be pretty big so this little one won't impact my overall healing time at all. So in terms of time away from the pool, it's a freebie.
