When I was younger, Witchboard scared the crap out of me for some reason. I saw it again a few years ago and wondered what the big deal was. I mean, Tawney Kitaen in bad '80s clothes is scary, but not in that way.

I think I'd have to say that the scariest movie for me at this time in my life is the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. It touches on a lot of things that bother me, like long-term captivity and being stranded far from home. I think the worst part is that everything happens to one family, and they always see each other being killed and abused. This creeps me out way more than the random group of drunk teenagers partying where they don't belong.

Wasn't it also in New Mexico?

My scariest one has always been Evil Dead, but the terror has worn off over the years. Not sure what my current scariest movie would be? I think I'm immune to them now.

I always figured it was more West, like getting close to California.

Turns out they filmed it in Morocco! That's weird.

The remake of The Hitcher takes place in New Mexico.

Maybe the original was in New Mexico? Or possibly, I am just confused.

Tawney Kitaen is scary NOW. I saw her IRL. No. Just... no.

Like Alan, I think I'm much more immune to being scared by them now. Nowadays, it's not so much 'fear', as it is being repulsed by certain hot-button issues to me, like injuries to eyes. I've avoided most of the recent remakes, mostly because of my love for the originals.

I don't think anything will ever scare me as much as watching Trilogy of Terror on TV when I was 7 or 8. That little Zuni fetish doll still creeps me out, even though I find it slightly campy now.

Much agreement. When she calls her mother at the end of the segment, and then turns around for the big reveal? OMG.
