Videos and Memories (a series, part 2)

christopher575For years, I thought I'd never see this full video. I managed to find about 15 seconds of it back when it came out in 1996. That was the year I would have graduated from college if I'd done it in four years. I went to school part-time when I got my first full-time job, which I took because my mom complained about the cost of tuition, which was less than $900 per semester. I also went part-time again later when I got my first apartment with Jennifer, because it was a lower-income unit and the rules stated that we couldn't both be full-time. I'm glad I was in school until December of 1997, though, because a lot of important things happened that year.
I'd been a huge fan of Faith No More since high school, and was surprised to hear how different Imperial Teen was. It made me wonder if Roddy Bottum was living a metal lie, waiting to break out his sensitive side. Maybe he liked it all.
The closest thing to an mp3 player at the time was the six-CD changer I had, so I usually listened to full albums. Remember those? Seasick is one of the best albums I own, and one of only three full albums on my iPod. The other two are by Sigue Sigue Sputnik, so you can tell I'm somewhat attached to older stuff.
The whole album is extremely sad but sounds happy. It's a trait I've always admired.
BONUS CLIP: Yoo Hoo, which is from their second album. I've never heard it, but am familiar with this song. I've never actually seen the video, and am linking sight unseen. I like Imperial Teen enough to link sight unseen.
