Yeah, my dad always kept a big bucket of bird seed right near our front door (it used to be kept in the shed until the wild donkeys knocked down the shed to get to it lulz). We'd always feed the birds, mostly quail. BABY QUAIL ARE SO CUTE! So cute. Sometimes there'd be dozens upon dozens of quail, it was awesome.
Yeah they were common where I grew up, but that was in the middle of nowhere. I even once saw a big horn sheep when I was in elementary school, because the school was right up next to a big mountain.
