christopher575Many of my favorite music videos, commercials, and movies rely heavily on a gimmick, or choose one and totally run with it. It's always been really frustrating to want to see a favorite video again, because until Youtube came along, there was nowhere central to look. Now that it's here, I can share some of my favorites.
"Letter from an Occupant" New Pornographers
"Seven Nation Army" White Stripes
"Closing Time" Semisonic
"Sugar Water" Cibo Matto
"California" Wax
"(Keep Feeling) Fascination" Human League
"Imitation of Life" REM
I'm also a big fan of any no-edit video, even if it isn't as elaborate as "Closing Time." I hope someone makes a no-edit, multi-camera movie someday that's better and less self-referential than Timecode.
