I used what was in the corned beef, which means they were mushy and wet, so I couldn't cut them very small or get the hash very dry. It was tasty but not quite what I set out to make.

Since you might be wondering, I poached the eggs using the traditional method with a little help from ring molds.

Why is it when someone says you've "made a hash of something" it's considered a bad thing. Corned beef hash, for example, is awesome. Do people still say "made a hash of something" or is that an old person thing?
