Why do they deliver utility poles so many months before they put them up?

steal one and use it as firewood

so they can be weathered and warped at that location

better to raise later

too warped = tossed

slightly warped = still raise but accommodate for the warp

I kinda wondered if they were somehow aged, but I was like, nah, they could just do that at some other site in town. Shoulda known.
