Sometimes I wake up before my alarm. If it happens to be 4:10am when I do,
I just get up and leave because I can catch the 5:23 bus instead of the
5:53. Today is one of those days.

There is something cool about being out in the world when most people are asleep. When I worked for the newspaper, I'd work midnight to 6am Saturday night/Sunday morning, and kind of loved it.

And yeah, I'm starting to really prefer being around when nobody else is. I came home a bit ago so I could be here when my new phone arrives and all the people everywhere just annoyed me.

If my natural body clock were to take over, I'd be one of those people who works at night and sleeps all day. But I could never go to bed early and wake up before dawn! I used to work a 7am to 3pm shift, which was kind of cool, but I could only handle it for about 6 months.

I don't understand how people can sleep so long after the sun rises. Even if I try on the weekends, I'm like, nope, time to get up.

Yeah, I used to work 7am to 3pm and while I dealt with it, I haaaated it. My natural clock seems to be to bed at about midnight, and up by 9am. I wake up a lot in the night anyway so waking up when the light hits (or my kitten jumps on my head) doesn't bother me. I just go back to sleep.
