I did a little bit of cleaning in my room on Saturday. One thing I decided could not be put off any longer was going through my t-shirts. I hang them, and was out of hangers, but knew that I needed to get rid of some instead of buying more hangers to put them on.

The closet where they hang is now only for shirts that I'll actually wear out and about. I divided the rest into three groups: wear at home, throw away, and donate. There were a couple that I had to take pictures of before throwing them away, though. I think I probably got them in 1995 or 1996. Both are from Usenet groups.

I'm starting to care so much less about "stuff". I've got tons of it I should get rid of. I should have joined the Capitol Hill yard sale day a few weeks ago.

I've never had a chance to see them live. And I think I'm ok with that. I could picture the crowd being super obnoxious.

They're all full of holes, which is why they aren't in the "wear around the house" category.

I once got like 50 bucks for an old concert shirt on ebay, but it was in really good condition. I'd at least donate these to Goodwill or Value Village.

OH MY GOD have you heard of those people who turn old tshirts into quilts? that's totally something within your league.

It's a trap! That's how people end up keeping crap around forever. Maybe someday this could be made into something really cool.

don't tell me what to do, I watch Hoarders!

noooooo you just up and do it. and if it's still in your closet 1 week later, then it' not worth it.

A quilt needs like 25-50 squares! You have to save old t-shirts for yeeeears.

I've been doing "purges" myself. I want to throw away stuff until it hurts. I want to throw away so much that I make a mistake.
