Probably. When we put him in my room after Steve was in there all night, he hissed. Even though Steve wasn't in there.

Boy cats can be really territorial but hopefully he will get over that quickly, and they'll be good friends. The last time I had to bring a new cat into a house, it took about 2 days of avoiding and hissing, and then suddenly they were licking each other and sleeping cuddled together.
