Mistake #1
Nov. 1st, 2013 01:34 pmA major chain of events in my life was set in motion when I chose my first apartment in Seattle over one in the building pictured here. It's almost ridiculous how many things happened after that decision, mostly because of poor building management where I ended up and the people I met after that when I broke my lease and left.
When I see this building and the one I chose instead--which is often, as I live right around the corner--I think about how bad things in my life got, and how great they are now. And I also think about how they could have turned out even worse if I'd chosen differently. But I don't believe in regretting choices like this and I wouldn't change a thing if I could.
What I do is try to remember that all choices we make can have huge consequences. Most importantly, it's never too late to reinvent yourself and make your life what you want it to be.
