Right after I got off the bus today and was walking home, there was a guy walking the other direction. I was on the right side of the sidewalk, and he was on the left, meaning we'd run into each other eventually. I try to always keep to the right when in the US, because people identify with traffic in the street and can usually do this to maintain some sense of order. (I mentioned that I do it in the US because in Vancouver, it's a free-for-all and you just can't win.)

He looked up and saw me, crouched down a bit, and then lunged to his right. Then he lunged left, right again, left again, and right again.

I suspect meth may have been involved. He seemed to have that "I'm paranoid so I'm going to try to look like I'm not paranoid by doing something really weird but not acting like I worry that I look weird" thing that tweakers do so often. Plus, he looked like a reject from the set of Solarbabies.

At least he got out of my damn way.
