Right now, I'm kind of between apartments. Tonight after happy hour, I realized that it was essential for me to go to the grocery store and get some food. Sure, I could have stumbled to a number of places in the neighborhood that specialize in post-drinking food, but the dollar goes so much further at the store. I arrived home with enough lunches for next week and enough dinner for three nights.

Of course, there was a problem. I started defrosting my fridge in the current place last night. Having a new fridge down the hall to move the stuff to was great, because the last time I had to defrost I had nowhere to put anything. So I got home with a frozen main ingredient and perishable toppings. (Taquitos with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa in case you wondered.) It was actually really hard to decide which apartment I should eat this in. Should I move the microwave to the new place first? Should I make it and move all the ingredients to the new place when I'm done?

I ended up deciding to eat here and then move all my stuff to the new place. I'm eating now, and dreading having to get dressed again to go down the hall. But I have a concert to go to tonight, so I'll have to get dressed eventually.

I spent 2.5 years in heavy freight exports; stuff like this shouldn't boggle my mind so much.

I gave up the microwave 4 years ago. Honeychile, I'm gonna teach you how to cook when I visit.

Pre-packaged stuff is just clogging your arteries and giving you a sugar high.

One rule I have for the new apartment is that nothing will be kept on the kitchen counter so I can actually use it.
