A new type of pantry item

My crudite habit is still going strong after all this time. Today, I realized it comes with a benefit. If you have a big baggie or container of cut-up vegetables all the time, you add fresh vegetables to your stock of pantry items. And you can use those vegetables in really small amounts if you like.
I had some leftover pasta from the other night and decided on a whim this morning to make it into pasta salad to go with lunch. It was really nice to be able to grab a strip each of red pepper, orange pepper, and celery to add, along with Japanese mayo, yellow miso, soy sauce, and vinegar.
