Answer for question 4352.
May. 5th, 2015 03:45 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]One of my first interviews after college was for some sort of sales assistant job at a local radio group. A guy I knew from school was a producer there, and it was a referral. I had a really nice interview with the woman who was hiring. She talked about the importance of brands in our lives and even mentioned what I was wearing and how often we hear or see that particular brand mentioned in the course of the day. She was lovely.
Then her boss came in to take over. If I had a transcript of how it went, people would think I made it up. He was just that much of an asshole. SO pissed that I didn't wear a tie. He went on and on, and it was completely ridiculous.
I don't have many regrets in life, but one of the few I did have was that I didn't just end the interview when it became obvious to me that I'd never want to work for that piece of shit. But of course I was young, and worried that living in a small market meant being anything but polite could make trouble for me later.
