I'll just get the "last" part of this post out of the way first so it can be behind its own cut if you don't want to see it. I cut today's walk a bit short because of yesterday's, during which I wore brand new shoes with bootie socks. I normally wear ankle socks and the booties left my achilles tendon area exposed, and on the right side, it got rubbed off. I could have gone a little further than I did because the pain went away, but I figured that was because the nerves were just worn out from trying to get me to stop.

In spite of the pain today, I was really happy because winter's dark grip is finally letting up. According to the internet, sunrise today was at 7:16, but it was already this bright at 6:33.

The daily special. This one sounds really good. I need to try this place sometime. And a lot of other weird places I haven't been to yet.

A really awesome formation, I've only ever seen one other that was about this big.

There was some very nice color by the time I left.

4.47 miles in 1:25, 9,520 steps
One nice thing about the marina is that it's easy to take shortcuts if necessary. You can get a lot of miles done in a relatively small amount of square miles.
This is the best driving video I've gotten in a while thanks to the sunrise. I even did a loop around the roundabout by my parking spot to get every angle.
It's been a nice day so far. Something I ordered for Garrett for Valentine's Day arrived today, so it's not late, and I was home for a signature-required delivery as well. That package was some currency for our upcoming vacation. I also got some nice stuff on sale at the grocery store. QFC has these little deli meals that I won't buy at their full price, but they get marked way down as the sell-by date approaches and I snatch them up and put them in the chest freezer in the garage. There are pasta bowls, which are perfect for sending as Garrett's lunch, Mexican rice bowls which I can make use to fill two burritos, and vegetable risotto, which makes a handy side if I'm trying to turn out an easy dinner. I bought quite a few today and had to stop myself from clearing them out.
