christopher575Yesterday I ran out of Netflix DVDs, as well as stuff on the DVR that only I watch, so I decided to finally start whittling down my ever-expanding "watch later" playlist on YouTube. A while back, I realized I never really liked stopping everything to watch videos longer than a minute or so on the laptop, and started just adding to the list and watching every once in a while. But I inevitably fell behind on regular watching, and have been adding tons of old weird movies I can't find anywhere but YouTube to the list. It's huge now. I took a nice dent out of it yesterday, including the TV movie Death Car on the Freeway. I think that one was from another source of the backlog: YouTube itself. The more stuff you watch on there, the better the suggestions get, so I've added even more weird movies I've never heard of before.
It's just too bad the recordings aren't higher quality. Can't win 'em all.
I thought to mention it because I'm currently on my last item on the DVR, Throwing Shade. It's been one of my favorite podcasts for years and it's such a relief that the TV version is great. I worried a lot that it wouldn't translate well, but they've done a great job.
With our vacation coming up, I'm in the middle of all the normal challenges. Stop buying food and eat up all the fresh stuff. Time laundry just right. Clean the house and hope the cats don't immediately puke. Find the ointment you need that's already packed.
Today's swim was completely unremarkable, but no news is good news.
I noticed in TimeHop that three years ago today was the day we announced that we were moving from Seattle to Everett. There was also a picture of the kitchen at the apartment we had for a while, so I'm pretty sure it was the day we picked up the keys.
My phone's operating system updated this morning. I already noticed one neat change. The "back" icon rotates to point downward when the keyboard's onscreen, to indicate that it'll tuck it away if you press it. That's actually a cool change, because in some stuff like Snapchat, it's easy to worry that you might back out of the screen you're on and lose it forever.
