I believe I will always look back at today as one of the craziest days of my life. There was a lot of it which I wanted to get pictures of, but didn't want to pay for the privilege, such as the group of three dancing children that attacked us the first time we got out of the car. It was a long journey to the Taj Mahal, but I managed to get the kind of shot I would have posted from my phone if I could have.

Shortly after this, [livejournal.com profile] mr_quackenbush (Jason) and I became instant celebrities.

You'd think there would be plenty of doughy white tourists there, but I quickly noticed that we stood out. People stared at us for a long time, and finally one little boy asked if he could have his photo with me. He was with a large group, and one after another, they all eventually got in a shot with me. I made them agree to let me take their picture. I wish I would have briefed Jason on the dark cloud maneuver so he could have properly hijacked their social lives.

After that, Jason and I got asked to pose for pictures about 400 times each. Some people waiting in line to take pictures with us believed we were professional wrestlers.

I'm sure you knew I would do this:

The pools were all empty today. This was also the case when I went to the South Texas Art Museum. WTF.

Silent Ducks. I really wanted one, but the "for me, special price" wasn't special enough.

If you stare at this for a while, you may see why it made me miss Jessica.

Our coworkers who came along for the trip. They are awesome.

Please do not obey any posted signs.

Plenty more back at flickr, including an insane swarm of bees.

Shore thang. Jason and I decided we could make a lot of money if we started charging for photos and carrying 8x10s we could sign for people.
