Nice when it's optional

Things started clearing up late last week, so Friday was my first swim in a while and Sunday was my first walk in exactly two weeks. There's still lots of snow to see, but not in the roads. I'm sure Japanese Gulch was really amazing in the snow, so I figured I'd go and see what was left of it. The steep trails were out of the question, but heading down the center trail and back up was fun. And some parts that would have been too muddy otherwise were covered in enough snow to make them easy to navigate.

The lights at the plant and airport looked neat as I headed out.













I like this spot for a time lapse but the sky could have been a little more dramatic.
