My head

I had my head cast as a gift for Jackson a few years ago, but never got around to taking any photos of it until just now. He keeps it on his bathroom counter, so when I sit on his toilet I have to stare at my silvery visage. Maybe I should have moved the Metamucil before I snapped this one.

I had to sit for about 40 minutes while they applied the stuff and it hardened. It can be done open-mouth, but you have to have your mouth open and still that whole time, and have it filled with that dental stuff they use to take a mold of your teeth. I think that'd be pretty hard.

Is it rude that I find that a little creepy? Probably because it's so detailed and realistic.

Castings are a bit creepy, I agree. But it's also really neat to be able to see your own face in 3d. And a little humbling to have to see it once you've let yourself go a bit.
