We went to the golf course for a nice brunch before hitting the farmers market yesterday, and since today's a holiday, Garrett said yesterday was like an extra Saturday. That was funny, because within a couple of minutes, I looked at my phone and saw a subject line from an email list I'm on saying basically the same thing. For me, it's more like today's an extra Sunday, since I did Sunday-style walks two days in a row.

I suppose it could also have been called a coyote weekend because yesterday I saw coyote puppies and today I saw a full-grown one.

Yesterday was a fairly typical outing to Langus. I was able to get nice and far during the seasonally-muddy area, though, which is where I got a nice close look at the coyote puppies. It was a gorgeous morning in spite of all the mosquitoes, and I'm glad I've been able to consistently remember to put on bug spray before heading out.

My alarm was set for 4am today and I woke up at 3:20. That worked out great because the amount of light when I arrived at Japanese Gulch was just right.
