A very large puzzle

christopher575We're building a gazebo and have two kinds of pavers:
- 16 2ft x 2ft squares (64 square feet)
- 36 square feet of another style that comes in three sizes:
- 12 x 12 inches (18)
- 6 x 12 inches (18)
- 9 x 12 inches (12)
The contractor asked yesterday if I could contact the vendor about the intended pattern but they were already closed for the day, so I counted them, drew them in Excel, then cut and pasted them into the required square pattern. There are obviously multiple ways to go about it, but I like this one. They're all the same color in real life, I just needed different colors for the diagram.
The reason for all this is that I originally thought the gazebo would connect to the ground rather than the pavers, so I chose a border with multiple sizes for flexibility. When I learned how it would really work, the large inner square became the outer square and the original border became this puzzle.
I'm not kidding when I say I use spreadsheets for everything.
