2026QOTD March 25-31
Mar. 25th, 2026 10:42 amFull list of March questions here.
26. In 1484 Aesops Fables were first printed in English by William Caxton. Do you recall any of the fables, such as The Tortoise and the Hare?
A quick look at the list of them for ones I remember yields The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs, The Tortoise and the Hare, and The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse. There are a LOT more and they don't ring a bell at all.
27. It’s World Theatre Day – when was the last time you went to the theatre?
Someone I dated briefly who has since passed away gave me and Garrett tickets to Wicked, probably in 2009.
28. Have you ever been to a circus?
Ringling Brothers/Barnum and Bailey when I was a kid and Cirque de Soleil as an adult. That was even longer ago than the play was, like 1999?
29. Have you ever made anything out of clay?
Back in elementary school, quite often I'm sure. I remember making a dreidel just like in the song when we learned about Hanukkah.
30. Are you allergic, or have an intolerance, to anything?
Coughing at night is what got me to finally take allergy tests, and that's when I learned I'm allergic to grass and dust mites. My pillows and mattress have mite-proof covers and I take a daily allergy pill since they don't give me any side effects and there's no telling when grass will bother me. It's much more likely now that we have two dogs.
31. Do you regularly use your freezer? What do you store in there? Be honest – how often do you check what’s in there…?
We have three and use them all. Two of them are the tops of the refrigerators which we have in the kitchen upstairs and the kitchenette downstairs, which is a mother-in-law unit with its own living area, bedroom (my office), bathroom, and kitchenette. We keep a lot of stuff in them and are pretty good about actively using them rather than letting things get too buried. Mostly. The deep freeze in the garage is a different story. It has bigger things as well as things we won't need right away, and stuff definitely gets forgotten in it.
One thing that might be unusual is the amount of bread in the freezer. I think bread should always be frozen unless you know you'll use it within a few days.
