There's a tree on my fire escape and three more in the alley behind the building. Like these assholes didn't know when they bought their trees that eventually they'd have to get rid of them? Nah, let someone else deal with it! I hope I live to see the tradition of cutting down trees to use as a temporary decoration decline, we waste enough of them for the wrapping paper as it is.

I think having a live Christmas tree is really one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I hate myself for having one... but the somehow I just don't feel right about not having one either... I am such a tree hugger at heart (litterally).. but so half assed at being "green".

my family had the same plastic tree for 15+ years until mice got into it in the garage. now we're at 10+ years on our second plastic tree, and won't be replacing it until it's falling apart. (it looks a little ragged, but that is part of the charm.)

we have never had a real christmas tree, and i never plan on having one. it's such a waste!
