One of my favorite albums growing up was the original Minipops compilation. I had it on vinyl and always kept a copy on tape in my car when I rediscovered it years later. I gave the original record to an old friend, on the condition that she'd try to find a way to get it burned to CD. If she wasn't so terrible at keeping in touch, I'd ask her to ship the original vinyl back to me right now.

I didn't know until I was searching around this morning that it was actually a TV show in the UK, so there are tons of videos out there by them. The only one I see that's a good track from that album is Video Killed the Radio Star.

K-Tel could make a fortune if they'd rerelease their old catalog as CDs and mp3s.

OMG I totally agree!! The Minipops ruled! I had their record and I would listen to it over and over and over and over. I wish I still had it.

Do you remember the Can-Can track? I used to know exactly how long to rewind the tape in my car so I could listen to it again and again.

No, not off the top of my head.

I was all about Charlie Brown. Best song ever in my 10 year old world.

As in "Charlie Brown, he's a clown?" If so, we had two different Minipops albums. The major tracks on mine were a Blondie medley, a disco Medley, Stupid Cupid, Video Killed the Radio Star, and an ABBA medley.

That's the one.

The ABBA medley was on Mini Pops. I had that, I also had Let's Dance, which had Charlie Brown on it. I think I might also have had We're The Mini Pops, but I can't remember.
