Jan. 27th, 2008 09:08 amOne of my favorite albums growing up was the original Minipops compilation. I had it on vinyl and always kept a copy on tape in my car when I rediscovered it years later. I gave the original record to an old friend, on the condition that she'd try to find a way to get it burned to CD. If she wasn't so terrible at keeping in touch, I'd ask her to ship the original vinyl back to me right now.
I didn't know until I was searching around this morning that it was actually a TV show in the UK, so there are tons of videos out there by them. The only one I see that's a good track from that album is Video Killed the Radio Star.
K-Tel could make a fortune if they'd rerelease their old catalog as CDs and mp3s.
