There are some good TV shows out there, but I'm so glad you don't have to actually watch TV to see them any more. Most of it is such crap now.

Yesterday while I was at the gym, True Life came on MTV. Now, this used to be a really good show. They explored a lot of issues like recreational drug use, drug addiction, prostitution, and homelessness. Yesterday's episode?

My parents are professional clowns and they embarrass me!

Way to go.

In fact, I'll do you one better. I remember when the only NON music video thing they had (not counting the news) was that game show - Remote Control.

Even better: they created MTV2 so they could have a channel that played those old things they called Music Videos....which now plays the exact same shows, nearly at the exact same time, as MTV.

I remember when there used to be local video channels on UHF, but MTV pushed them all out of business.

Now VH-1 is what MTV used to be.
