Ten things you hate about me

sgtred said I should.
1. I think that drugs should be legalized, but traffic and transit rules should be enforced more often, and carry a more severe penalty when they are broken.
2. A big reason I came to Seattle was so I wouldn't have to have a car any more, and I find the experience of being in one totally terrifying.
3. I avoid children whenever possible, but it's their parents I actually hate.
4. My taste in music is more inclusive than you'd guess (even by looking at my CDs) and a lot of the things I like would probably surprise you.
5. The only sport I like to watch is curling.
6. My hands have simian creases, and they warned my parents when I was born that Down Syndrome was a possibility.
7. I use chopsticks more often than I use forks and spoons. [EDIT to add: this may not be true as of a couple of weeks ago now that I don't eat in vietnamese restaurants every day. Certainly true for the last year and a half, though]
8. I don't think we should execute people because it's expensive and doesn't bring their victims back to life.
9. I had 17 or so piercings that are all gone now, but didn't get any tattoos until many years after taking them all out.
10. I almost majored in German, but realized I didn't want to teach or translate for a living.
