Vegas imploded old casinos on a regular basis. It's stopped now that basically all of the Strip has been modernized and rebuilt, but seeing an old casino crumble was a regular occurrence during the 90's.
Where were you when the Kingdome went down? I was at 2nd Ave Extension and Jackson, right at the police line. And it SUCKED, because I was in the dust cloud the whole way home.
Oh yeah. I was in the same territory and yes - the dust cloud was enormous.
I remember going back to work on Cap Hill at Glo's Diner and seeing dust on everyones windshield and thinking - everyones got Kingdome on them, even up here - the ultimate money shot for sure.
coolest were the water tower or air traffic control tower or whatever that was, and then that big black glass building.
So dust is what holds buildings up, much like smoke is what makes electronics work. This is obviously true because buildings fall down if you let all the dust out, and electronics stop working when you let all the smoke out. Ha.
