My employer lost my license, so I'm here for a replacement. Now serving number 196. Two agents working at five counters. I am screwed.

Until my real badge is ready, I have to get a temp badge each morning. They keep a license or keys as collateral. There was a new person on Monday and the dude training her took it and lost it.

That's fucked. Not only because the idiot lost your licence but that it takes so long for you to get a badge. My id card took a whole 10 minutes. 5 minutes to produce and another 5 to walk over to security and have them grant be security access to my facutly.

The manager of my department is on vacation in Africa and trying to get everything approved by someone else is just hilarious.

But! When it's ready, I have to take a shuttle out to Redmond to get it.

Actually, they might be ready for me to come out there, but we don't know who to ask to be sure, and don't want to risk wasting half a day going out there to find out they aren't.
