My office is awesome

Yesterday our phones started acting really weird. Lots of erratic ringing, dropped calls, people picking up ringing phones that would continue to ring with the handset lifted, etc. Also, one of our very important printers--the one that prints very, very important documents onto carbon forms--wouldn't print. A technician was here this morning and was able to quickly determine the cause.

Mice.

Mice are chewing through cords in the office. It happened once before; nosmoking_'s mom's phone was out for a week because a mouse found a peanut M&M next to her phone cord and chewed through it trying to get at it. But apparently the problem is getting worse, and they're working their way through the cubicle walls munching whatever they can find.

Oh, and to answer your question: My Friday sucked right at about 3pm when I made the realization that my 3-day weekend would suddenly involve coming in on Saturday to get caught up, otherwise I would just now be getting home from work. But I did get to watch a dreidel grow in a bucket of water for half of the week.

It is still growing. It got more attention today than the uncanny embryos. But I think the wind-up bowl of pho will pull ahead for Monday's amusement.

No, not the same girl. The girl in the video disappeared from being my friend. I think because I put that video of her on the Intertrons.
