I'm thinking of it more along the lines of: don't encourage them.
I believe that, for the most part, people never learn anything. If they're dummies, it's just the way they are, and no book is going to improve on that. So I don't want them to think they have a chance. Because I don't think they have a chance. And I have to live with the consequences of their failures.
