What do you mean "these people?"

"these people" = "people who don't brush their teeth", which itself is just a reference to those with little to no oral hygiene habits.

Third-world countries excluded.

I love that the ADA has finally acknowledged that it's ok to brush your teeth only twice per day (http://www.ada.org/public/topics/cleaning.asp).

i used to tell my co-worker this because she always brushed after lunch, but she didnt believe me, and for some dumb reason i couldnt find the link again to prove it :p

i dont think its necessary but i can see wanting to brush - gently and just a little - depending on what you ate for lunch though. i am too lazy to do it myself =P

I don't see the value in keeping a toothbrush at work, keeping it sanitary, and then going into the bathroom (which is always gross) and brushing my teeth. like, I am cleaning my teeth in an environment filled with other people's poop.
At least at home it's my poop.

the only value i see in it is helping to get rid of an unsavory taste lingering in your mouth.

Yeah, and like, a small bottle of Listerine does that job a whole lot better IMO.

also, those disposable toothbrush things loaded with paste that just slide on your finger. I used to keep those in my desk for the "ugly mouth" situation.

i should clarify, i picked yes i brush at work, but i don't brush at work regularly, only right before going to the dentist or out on a hot date or something, usually right after work i'm eating and thus no brushy before then.

Fun fact: When pro wrestler Eddie Guerrero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Guerrero) died of a sudden heart attack, he was brushing his teeth.

I was brushing my teeth when the 2001 Seattle earthquake hit, and I dropped my toothbrush into the toilet.

I don't understand why this is a big deal to people.

To those who think it's nasty: your toothbrush is not sanitary. You stuck it in your mouth. Unless you keep it stored in a jar of chlorine solution it has all kind of crap growing on it. Second, unless you swirl the brush around in the toilet to brush your teeth, I don't really see how poop is going to jump on to your toothbrush all the way from the toilet. Or let's say you're worried about the faucet handle. Germs don't live for long on metal and porcelain anyway.

Btw I've been brushing my teeth twice a day for years, and my teeth are in better shape than they were 8 years ago - due to regular cleaning and improved brushing technique. And I don't even use a stupid Sonicare. So :P
